Cedar Lake Cellars in Wright City will partner with Tough Mudder, Inc., as the official venue for Missouri Tough Mudder event weekends.Tough Mudder is a leading sports, active lifestyle brand and media company. It offers a series of competitive and noncompetitive obstacle course events.The five-year commitment brings Tough Mudder to Missouri with the first event taking place Aug. 11-12, 2018. Tickets are on sale at ToughMudder.com that went on sale Thursday, Dec. 21.“This is an exciting time for our Warren County community, as well as our loyal runners,” said The Battlegrounds’ owner Carl Bolm. “Tough Mudder races attract thousands of participants and spectators to their events, which will be a huge economic boost for our area.”The Tough Mudder Missouri Weekend will feature three events with different levels of endurance. They are the Mudder, the Tough Mudder Half and the Tough Mudder Full.Participants push themselves by running, climbing, leaping, swinging through rough terrain, water, mud and other obstacles. Participants receive free action photos, a finisher T-shirt, finisher headband and celebratory beer upon completing the course.Bolm created mud run at the Battlegrounds in June 2012. It is located next to Cedar Lake Cellars.
