The Warren County Council on Aging operates the Warren County Senior Center and the Warren County Meals on Wheels program.
Anyone in Warren County may vote in the election and anyone in the county may run for election who meet the minimum requirements.
Candidates must be at least 21 years old.
A majority of the board must be made up of people who are 60 and older.
The board has nine members.
Executive Director Sheryl Stefanski said the ideal candidate “is someone who’s interested in the Senior Center and willing to help out in ways that are needed.”
She said the board is a diverse group that takes an active part in helping the agency meet its goals.
Board members serve three-year terms.
Potential candidates must register by May 17 at the Senior Center.
Stefanski said the board meets monthly. She said members are encouraged to join committees. Some committees are more active and meet more than others, she said.
Three seats are up for election. They belong to Roger Cauble and Patsy Jones. One seat belonged to Duane Timerberg and was left vacant after he recently passed away.
The board had voted to keep the seat vacant until the election, Stefanski said.
Cauble has filed for re-election.
On Election Day, May 20, ballots may be cast at the Warren County Senior Center.
