The Wright City cross country teams had a successful day at the EMO Conference meet on Oct.19. Three out of the five Wildcats that ran earned all-conference honors.
Starting in the girls race, both Adalyn Ferrell and Lindsay Pettus made all-conference teams. Ferrell secured first-team honors after placing third in 21 minutes, 49 seconds.
Pettus earned second-team honors after she finished in 12th place in 23:44. This was a season-best time for Pettus.
In the boys race, Matthew Johnston made second-team all-conference after finishing 14th in 19:17. James Guinn and Cade Hornberger also ran in the 5K. Guinn placed 26th for a PR of 20:21, while Hornberger placed 40th in 23:51.
The Wildcats will have one more regular season on Oct. 25 meet before they head into the Class 3, District 3 tournament on Nov. 2. On Friday, they will run in the Bowling Green Invite in Bowling Green.
