Three men charged with sexual assault offenses

Three men were charged with sexually assaulting a woman over a period of time beginning Dec. 28 and continuing until the early morning hours of Dec. 29 in Wright City.

According to a probable cause statement filed by the Warren County Sheriff’s Department, deputies were informed of a sexual assault that occurred between Dec. 28 and Dec. 29 in a residence on Country Cove Lane in Wright City. The deputies made contact with the victim who told them that she was sexually assaulted by her boyfriend’s three roommates while he was absent from the residence. According to the probable cause statement, the three men sexually assaulted the victim at separate times. The three men were identified as Oscar David Sanchez Rodriguez, Carlos Juan Rodriguez and Yecson Fernando Lazo.

Sanchez Rodriguez was the first to assault the victim by forcibly raping her, Rodriguez then came into the victim’s room and raped the victim, but she was able to shove him off with her feet, according to the affidavit. Lazo then entered the victim’s bedroom and touched her in several places without her consent, according to the affidavit.

The probable cause statement also asserts that each of the three men are flight risks as they are not citizens of the U.S.

Sanchez Rodriguez and Rodriguez were charged with rape or attempted rape, Rodriguez was also charged with sodomy or attempted sodomy, while Lazo was charged with sexual abuse in the first degree.

All three men are being held without bond.
