A third suspect has been arrested for a Marthasville burglary in which authorities say the burglars lured the victim away from her home.Paul Wallace, 33, who lives south of St. Clair, is the latest to be charged with second-degree burglary, stealing $750 or more, and stealing a firearm. The burglary occurred while Wallace was out of jail on bond for felony weapon charges in Franklin County, The Record has learned. Two other suspects in the Marthasville break-in, Jessica Perkins, 29, of Franklin County, and Minda Williams, 22, of Cuba, Mo., were arrested and charged for the burglary in July.Charges have not yet been issued against a fourth suspect known to the sheriff’s department, who reportedly was the driver of the vehicle used in the burglary. Two handguns and a safe containing $2,000 were taken from a home on the 500 block of Hiawatha Street in Marthasville June 21, according to the sheriff’s department. The suspects dropped one of the guns in the yard of the home, where it was recovered by authorities. One of the female suspects allegedly told investigators that Wallace was the one who forced open the front door of the home in order to take the items. He also allegedly is the person who dropped one of the handguns. The four suspects reportedly planned the burglary in advance while in a vehicle together. Perkins told authorities she approached a woman who was home alone at the time and asked if she could get a ride to Dollar General.Once Perkins and the victim left, the other suspects reportedly arrived in a silver Chevy Cruze sedan to burglarize the home. They then traveled to Dollar General to pick up Perkins before leaving Marthasville. The charges against Wallace are all Class D felonies with a maximum prison sentence of seven years, should he be convicted. He is being held in Warren County Jail with a $15,000 bond.“The remaining male suspect will be arrested and charged soon,” Sheriff Kevin Harrison said in a public statement. “I would also like to thank the Franklin County Sheriff’s Department on their assistance as we venture throughout their county looking for our suspects.”According to online court records, Wallace was arrested in November 2016 in St. Clair for unlawful possession of an illegal weapon and three charges of unlawful possession of a firearm. He had been released from Franklin County Jail on a $10,000 bond, but was taken back into custody April 29 after failing to appear at a court hearing.Wallace was released again May 25, according to court records, a month before the burglary in Marthasville.Paul Wallace
