To The Editor:During this season of counting our blessings I want to thank Warrenton aldermen, Mayor Eric Schleuter and our city officials for their perseverance in addressing the safety issue of our citizenry traversing along North Highway 47.The building of a sidewalk will give pedestrians and bicyclists a safe venue to travel to town. A huge thanks to the landowners who provide the easements for the construction of the sidewalk. Adam Rollins and Kate Miller of the Warren County Record have done a nice job of timely reporting and keeping the community informed on the progress of the project. The unified effort of the aforementioned officials demonstrates what the Bible teaches, “Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.” (Philippians 2:3, New International Version.)All came together for a common goal for the betterment of our community. As Henry Ford once said, “Coming together is a beginning. Keeping together is progress. Working together is success.” We are working together as a community to develop 2.5 miles of sidewalk along North Highway 47. Hopefully completion of the project will be sooner than later!Laura ZimmerWarrenton
