Two teens were evacuated by helicopter after a crash on Highway D east of Marthasville on Thursday. Two more were transported by ambulance.
The crash occurred at 2:45 p.m. Sept. 10 less than a mile west of the Emmaus campus, according to a Missouri Highway Patrol report. A 2005 Nissan Maxima, driven by Grant Habedank, 18, of Wentzville, was traveling too fast for conditions when it crashed, the highway patrol said.
Two teenagers, ages 15 and 16, suffered serious injuries and were taken by helicopter to St. Louis Children’s Hospital. They were not wearing seat belts, the highway patrol said. Their names were not released.
Habedank, the driver, had moderate injuries and was taken by ambulance to Mercy Hospital Washington.
Another passenger, Christian J. Hamilton, 18, of Wentzville, was also taken to Mercy Washington with minor injuries.
Habedank and Hamilton were both wearing seat belts, the highway patrol said.
