Teen pleads guilty to burglary, stealing guns

A former Warren County resident has pleaded guilty to a burglary and theft that took place two weeks after he was put on probation.Lawrence J. Wohldmann Jr., 19, was arrested in August along with three other teens who allegedly broke into a home and stole guns and a video game system.Warren County Circuit Court Presiding Judge Wes Dalton sentenced Wohldmann to five years of state supervised probation for the charges of second-degree burglary, stealing a firearm, and second-degree property damage. Wohldmann will also be required to pay restitution for the crimes.Wohldmann was already serving a two-year probation for stealing and property damage, which he pleaded guilty to July 19. Wohldmann previously resided south of Innsbrook, and now has a residence in Lincoln County, according to online court records.Authorities said Wohldmann and three others were recorded by a home video camera burglarizing at a residence Kristy Lane in Warren County.The owners of the home were away on vacation at the time, according to a statement from the Warren County Sheriff’s Department. A neighbor taking care of their pets noticed signs of the break-in and contacted authorities.A door to the residence reportedly was broken open and a safe containing two handguns was stolen, along with the video game system, according to the sheriff’s department. The handguns and the safe were later recovered.The other suspects are Justice K. Gauch, 19, Warrenton; Britney N. Wohldmann, 18, Warren County; and a 16-year-old male whose name was not released because he is a juvenile. Gauch and Britney Wohldmann are also charged with burglary, theft and property damage.
