Warren County Collector of Revenue Julie Schaumberg is asking residents to be aware of yearly tax bills that will soon be arriving in the mail. Schaumberg said all tax bills will be sent out by Veterans Day, Nov. 11.
Tax payments must be returned to the collector’s office or postmarked by Dec. 31, 2020.
Payments received or postmarked after Dec. 31 will have penalties and interest fees added to them. Taxpayers are advised to verify pickup times with their post office to ensure payments are postmarked by Dec. 31.
Payments can also be made online at warrencountymo.org/county-collector. You can also call 1-877-690-3729 and dial Warren County jurisdiction code 3563 if you have your bill with you.
A drop box to return your bill in person is on the right side of the door at the Warren County Administration Building. You can also mail your bill to the Warren County Collector, 101 Mockingbird Lane, Suite 200, Warrenton, MO 63383.
Failure to receive a notice of the tax bill does not relieve a taxpayer of their responsibility to pay the bill, the collector’s office added.
Schaumberg asked taxpayers to plan ahead to pay their tax bills. Due to COVID-19, the collector’s office could have long lines or could even be shut down, she said.
For any questions or inquiries about a tax bill, call the collector’s office at 636-456-3330.
