By Janine DavisRecord Staff WriterRumors of Taco Bell’s closing in Warrenton are just that — rumors —- a company spokesperson said this week.“We are not closing,” said Drew Kriese, area director for Taco Bell.Kriese said that several people have called the restaurant to ask if it was closing following the shut-down of nearby KFC.“I think because Taco Bell and KFC used to be owned by the same company, Yum Brands, people took that and ran with it,” said Kriese. “In fact, we no longer are sister companies, so there’s no association any longer and hasn’t been for some time.”Kriese said the popularity of Taco Bell in Warrenton is sure to keep the restaurant in place for the foreseeable future.“The community has been extremely supportive of Taco Bell, and we look forward to serving them for a long time,” said Kriese.Taco Bell here to stay
