A man suspected of shooting at a car in Marthasville on Saturday was found dead in Reifsnider State Forest later that afternoon, Sheriff Kevin Harrison said.Sheriff’s deputies were called to Northridge Drive in Marthasville before noon when the subject allegedly fired gunshots into his girlfriend’s vehicle, Harrison said. Deputies used the subject’s cellphone signal to track him to Reifsnider. Harrison said law enforcement located the subject’s vehicle at 2 p.m., and that he had fled into the woods.Members of the Missouri State Highway Patrol and Missouri Department of Conservation responded to the park along with the sheriff’s department.“We established a perimeter and tried to communicate on the phone,” Harrison said. “Ultimately he ended up taking his own life.”The man’s body was located in a ravine just before 2:30, Harrison said.
