A Cape Fair, Missouri man has been charged with possession of child pornography, a felony, following a traffic stop in Warrenton in June.

Kevin D. Dennison, 54, was pulled over for a traffic violation June 21 in Warrenton. In their investigation of the traffic stop, police found he was in possession of two cell phones, a Motorola and an iPhone, according to a probable cause statement.

Dennison allegedly told police the iPhone was a backup, but they determined both phones were being actively used with different phone numbers. Police obtained search warrants for both phones.

The search allegedly revealed several videos and still images taken from videos showing a teenage girl involved in sexual activity. Time stamps on the videos indicated they were taken between November 2025 and January 2026. The girl shown in the videos, who police were able to identify, was 17 at the time, according to police.

Police interviewed the victim and she acknowledged having been sexually involved with Dennison when she was 17 in the Branson area but said she was unaware of videos being taken, according to the probable cause statement. The child pornography charge against Dennison was filed July 28.

Dennison is a registered sex offender, convicted in 2004 of attempted statutory rape of a 13-year-old girl. He is being held without bond at the Warren County Jail.
