A suspect has been charged with a felony after allegedly threatening to kill someone on Halloween and to carry out shootings at Walmart and other locations in Warrenton.
Alexander J.L. Connor was charged Saturday, Oct. 3, with second-degree terrorist threat after Warrenton police received information from the Missouri Information Analysis Center about threatening Youtube messages attributed to Connor the previous day.
In the messages, Connor allegedly threatened to murder an unidentified person on Halloween, and also said he “would carry out shootings at five locations in Warrenton, specifically identifying Walmart,” according to a probable cause statement. “Connor also stated he had a plan.”
Following an investigation, police located Connor and took him into custody. He was transported to the Warrenton Police Department, where he admitted to sending the threatening messages, according to the statement.
Connor, born in 1998, is being held without bond at the Warren County Jail.
In a social media post, the Warrenton Police Department said it was proud of the professionalism and commitment of those involved in the investigation.
“Through coordinated investigative efforts, including the use of cellphone location technology, officers and detectives worked countless hours to track down the subject and bring the investigation to a safe resolution,” the department noted.
