Strassenbash is Friday and Saturday this week, Sept. 20 and 21, in Wright City. The annual festival will once again be held at the Wright City Lions Club.The Strassenbash Parade is Saturday at 11 a.m., starting at SunRise Church on Bell Road and ending at Wright City Hall on Westwoods Road.A variety of vendor booths and live music will be present for both days of the festival.Strassenbash kicks off Friday afternoon, with a car show and live music starting at 5 p.m. Friday also is the Chamber of Commerce Person of the Year Award presentation.Saturday morning there is a pancake breakfast at the Lions Club, hosted by volunteers with the Wright City Fire Corps. Breakfast is from 7-11 a.m.A character lunch with Elsa and Batman will be hosted at the Lions Club from noon to 1 p.m.Baby contests for different age groups will start at 2 p.m., bingo games begin at 4 p.m., a bike giveaway will be done at 6 p.m., and biscuits and gravy will be served from 5-8 p.m.Winners of the Strassenbash Ambassador contest will be announced at 7 p.m. Saturday.Featured Saturday night will be the live music of Johnny Rock-Itt and the Double Wide Symphony, from 8-11 p.m. on the Strassenbash main stage.For more information about Strassenbash, call the Wright City Area Chamber of Commerce office at 636-206-6191, contact the Chamber through its Strassenbash - Wright City Facebook page, or visit the website new.wrightcityareachamber.org.STRASSENBASH LOGO
