A Harley-Davidson motorcycle reported stolen from Warrenton was located by law enforcement at a Warren County residence last Thursday, Sept. 14.
A day later, Warren County sheriff’s deputies arrested Adam E. Jennings, 33, on charges of stealing a motor vehicle and first-degree tampering with a motor vehicle, according to the sheriff’s department.
Authorities said Jennings was at a residence on Cedar Court in Warren County where deputies found the stolen motorcycle. The ignition system of the motorcycle had been modified to run without a key, and the vehicle had been freshly painted.
When Jennings was interviewed Sept. 15, he told an investigator he was the one who had modified the motorcycle, which he said just showed up at the house, according to authorities.
The charges against Jennings are Class D felonies. He was taken to the Warren County Jail Sept. 15 and bailed out a day later with a $10,000 surety bond. He had an arraignment scheduled for Sept. 27 at the Warren County Circuit Court.
