A Marthasville man and convicted felon is in jail after sheriff’s deputies tracked a stolen dirt bike to his home, where they found firearms and drug paraphernalia.Cody J. Thome, 23, is charged with second-degree burglary, stealing a motor vehicle, felony drug possession and unlawful possession of a firearm.He is accused of stealing the motorbike from within a shed along Highway D on Aug. 24, according to a public statement from the sheriff’s department.The burglary was reported by a nearby neighbor who observed a blue van leaving the area with the bike, the statement said.A team of law enforcement conducted a saturation patrol in the area, locating the van and following it to a residence off Charrette Creek Road, the sheriff’s department said.After deputies obtained a search warrant for the property, they found the stolen dirt bike and a Mossberg 12-gauge shotgun. In Thome’s vehicle, deputies allegedly found a Glock handgun with the serial numbers removed and a Ruger pistol, along with a glass pipe that field tested positive for methamphetamine.Thome has a prior felony conviction stemming from a 2014 burglary in Franklin County, and is not legally allowed to possess firearms. He has an active warrant for violating his parole from that conviction.Thome was arrested and is being held at the Warren County Jail in lieu of a $35,000, cash-only bond. He was arraigned Aug. 29 at the Warren County Circuit Court.Cody Thome
