Mr. Stephen Raymond Schulze of Warrenton passed away Monday, March 28, 2022. He was born December 19, 1951, in Warrenton to the late George William and Dorothy Mae (nee: Laird) Schulze. He had reached the age of 70 years.
Steve married the love of his life, Linda Mennemeier, on February 22, 1974, in Troy. They spent 48 years together and had one son, George. He wore many hats through the years; he was a lifelong farmer and the primary mechanic for his friend Delvin from 1973 to 2005 at Hasenjaeger Trucking, which was one of the great prides of his life. When his son began his business in 1999, Steve became his partner, as well as his dad.
Steve’s love for life was evident to all who knew him. He enjoyed cooking for his friends & family and sharing a cup of coffee with visitors at his shop. He was a dedicated fan of tractor pulling and enjoyed many years helping his dear friend, Jay Shafer, with his pulling tractor. What Steve loved more than anything was spending time with his grandchildren - fishing or watching John Wayne movies with Eli and napping and playing with Evie. He will be greatly missed by everyone that knew him.
Steve was preceded in death by his parents, George and Dorothy, and brother, Stanley. He is survived by his loving wife, Linda; son, George Schulze and wife Krystal; grandchildren, Steven Elijah and Evelyn Daisy Schulze; sister, Sharon and husband Steve; brother, Stuart and wife Nancy; as well as many other relatives and friends.
