A year old murder mystery is closer to being solved this week.St. Louis police announced Tuesday that they have charged Michael Shirlee, 23, of St. Louis, for the murder of Danah Marie Jackson, 31, of Wright City. Jackson's body was found in a vacant lot on the 2400 block of North Grand Avenue in the Jeff Vander Lou neighborhood in north St. Louis on Nov. 15, 2012.According to court documents, Shirlee struck the victim numerous times in the face with a cinder block and chocked her. The Medical Examiner deemed the cause of death strangulation and closed head injury.Shirlee was charged with first degree murder and is being held without bond.St. Louis Man Charged with Wright City Woman's Death
