A St. Louis man was charged with first-degree assault or attempted assault and the unlawful use of a weapon on May 14.
Alfredo Canales, 37, was charged after allegedly firing several shots from his vehicle at another driver on Interstate 70 in Warren County on May 14, according to the probable cause statement filed by the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
The patrol says Canales fired five shots at another vehicle on eastbound I-70 near the 197 mile marker, missing the vehicle and subsequently rolled his vehicle into the center median.
According to the probable cause statement, “the suspect is believed of being heavily intoxicated by alcohol during the incident.”
A warrant has been issued for his arrest and he is to be held without bond.
