A St. Louis man, Brandon Allen, was charged with stealing $750 or more, a felony, stemming from a theft that took place on Dec. 12, 2021.
According to the probable cause statement, Allen, along with two accomplices, left the Warrenton Rural King with over $3,500 worth of items in a cart without paying.
During an interview with one of the other individuals, they said they told employees at the checkout register they needed to make a return. He then said at the return desk, Allen made "weird noises" as a distraction while they left the store, according to the probable cause statement.
Allen drove and all three left together without paying for the items. The other two individuals have not been charged.
A warrant has been served for Allen's arrest and he was released on bond with special conditions.
