A St. Charles County deputy from Marthasville has been charged with domestic assault in connection with an arrest June 9. Nathan Paul Vomund, 36, was placed on administrative leave pending an investigation. Vomund was charged with second-degree domestic assault.According to court documents, police responded June 9 to a residence on the 11000 block of Cumberland Gap. A female victim reported a series of domestic violence incidents going back months between Vomund and herself. A witness verified that an incident of domestic assault occurred on May 5, 2013, at the residence, investigators reported.Court documents state that on May 5, Vomund and the victim began arguing about items on his cellular phone. The argument progressed into a physical altercation and Vomund allegedly dragged the victim through the home by her hair, placed his hands around her neck, choked her and threw her on the bed, according to reports.Vomund is being held on $10,000 bond.St. Charles County Deputy Charged with Assault
