The Warren County Commission will hold three public hearings regarding proposed rules for solar energy districts and other county zoning amendments.
The first hearing will be on Sept. 15 at 11 a.m. in the County Commission chambers at the Warren County Administration Building.
The second hearing will be on Sept. 22 at 7 p.m. at the county emergency operations center, located in the lower level of the Warren County Administration Building.
The third public hearing will be on Sept. 29, 6 p.m. at the Central Grove Church, located at 35569 State Highway A, Warrenton, MO 63383.
These public hearings will be to discuss amendments to the Warren County Zoning Order. The public hearings will cover general amendments to the zoning order, as well as new regulations with respect to enabling legislation for the creation of solar energy overlay districts.
These are proposed regulations. The proposed regulations are available in the office of the Warren County Zoning Administrator. Due to the current public health emergency caused by COVID-19, it is planned that interested persons will be able to testify in person or virtually through the Zoom video conference app.
The Zoom link can be found for the first two meetings on the Warren County website under the calendar (https://warrencountymo.org/calendar).
The third meeting will not have Zoom capabilities.
All individuals who are participating by Zoom must have their microphone on “mute” except when they are testifying. All testimony will be given under oath. Any person who desires to submit testimony or evidence in writing must do so by providing 12 copies to the planning and zoning administrator not later than Sept. 14 at 1 p.m.
All written testimony must be subscribed and sworn to by the submitter in front of a person who is authorized to administer oaths. Written testimony which is properly submitted will be given the same weight as live testimony.
