Northern Warren County residents who received notice of an impending solar farm hearing can put a two-week hold on their plans to attend. County officials announced that the hearing for developer Invenergy's solar energy overlay district has been moved from Nov. 4 to Nov. 19, 6 p.m., at the Black Hawk Middle School gymnasium.
Officials in the county's planning and zoning office said the delay is due to errors that were made in up to six meeting notices that were mailed to nearby residents and property owners. A total of 206 notices were mailed.
"Even though it is a very small amount of the total (mailings that were flawed), to ensure that anyone who desires to testify has the opportunity to do so, Warren County has determined that the best course of action is to continue and reschedule the hearing," county officials said.
The meeting will also be open to participation through the Zoom video app at this link: https://us02web.zoom.us/j/8502
The meeting ID is 850 2828 3590, and the passcode is 897982.
