The Smith Creek United Methodist Church is having its annual soup supper on Saturday, Jan. 17, from 3:30 to 7 p.m.The menu includes a variety of all-you-can-eat soups, salad, bread, drinks, and a variety of homemade desserts. A freewill donation will be available.The proceeds from this supper will be used toward expenses and supplies for the church’s annual mission trip to the Henderson settlement in Frakes, Ky. Each year in June, 12 to 14 youth and adults travel to Frakes, located in Bell County, to provide home repair for impoverished families. Bell County is one of the poorest counties in the United States.The community is invited to enjoy an evening of food and fun with friends and neighbors.
