Smith Creek United Methodist Church is having its annual Soup Supper from 3 to 7 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 20.The event will be held at the church at 19337 State Highway U near Highway 94 in southern Warren County.The menu includes a variety of all-you-care-to-eat soups, served with salad, bread, drinks and homemade desserts.The cost of the meal is a freewill donation.Proceeds from the supper will help with expenses and supplies for the church’s annual mission trip to Henderson Settlement in Bell County in Kentucky. It is one of the poorest counties in the United States.Each June a group from the church goes there to help impoverished families near Frakes, Ky., with home repairs.Smith Creek United Methodist ChurchRecord photo
