A St. Charles man is facing charges after allegedly firing a slingshot at a man mowing his lawn in July.
Jason Puszkar was charged Monday with third-degree assault, a felony, and misdemeanor resisting arrest. According to a probable cause statement, the victim told police he was struck in the neck by a projectile and saw Puszkar hiding behind nearby trees. The victim also provided photos showing Puszkar holding a slingshot.
When Wright City police attempted to arrest him, Puszkar reportedly ignored commands, ran toward a residence and resisted being handcuffed after being taken to the ground. Officers later found a silver BB in his pocket and recovered a slingshot with matching BBs from a nearby home, the statement said.
