Sip, savor and celebrate at First Fridays on First Street June 6 in Wright City

Posted

Downtown Wright City will come alive once again with First Fridays on First Street on June 6 from 5-9 p.m. The event will be an evening filled with local flavor, family fun and festive entertainment.

This month’s theme, wine and whiskey, will bring a special twist to the beloved community tradition. Local wine and whiskey vendors will be offering tastings, plus the chance to purchase local favorites by the glass or the bottle. There will be something for every palate regardless of whether attendees are connoisseurs or just curious.

There will also be live music courtesy of the Front Street Band, sponsored by Kelly Hill with Shelter Insurance and Cochran Engineering. Bring a lawn chair and be ready to dance.

There is plenty for families to enjoy including face painting for the kids and the bubble bus.

For adults, there is a special treat as there will be a free wine glass painting class at 6 p.m. hosted by the Crystal Worthy Art Studio. Be sure to register early at the tent as space is limited to just 20 participants.

The event will feature a wide variety of food vendors and local craft booths, so come hungry and be ready to shop small.

First Fridays on First Street are made possible by generous sponsors Canna Corner and Survant Heating and Cooling.
