A Troy man accused in a sexual assault in Wright City has now been charged for a Lincoln County rape that took place a month prior.Jonathan L. Larocca, 32, is being held in Lincoln County without bail. He had previously been released from the Warren County Jail on a $200,000 cash-only bond.Larocca was charged March 23 with first-degree sexual abuse for allegedly molesting a woman in Wright City. He was arrested again and charged in Lincoln County May 7 for the alleged rape of a 33-year-old woman in Hawk Point in January. The victim in the case told Lincoln County Sheriff’s deputies that Larocca sent her a message the evening of Jan. 18 asking to stay at her home in Hawk Point. The woman told investigators she had been drinking wine since she arrived home that day, according to charging documents.Later that night, the woman’s husband awoke to find her naked and nearly passed out in the bathtub, her head sliding under the water so she almost drowned, according to the documents. After helping the woman from the tub, he found Larocca in their living room petting their dog, and kicked him out.The husband told authorities he later found the victim’s pants and underwear in the washing machine, along with a cover from the living room. When she was interviewed by sheriff’s deputies the next evening, the woman said she had no memory of how she ended up in the bathtub. The woman went to a hospital, where a nurse collected a sexual assault kit that was turned over to authorities. Test results received from the Missouri State Highway Patrol April 30 showed that DNA from the sexual assault kit matched DNA collected from Larocca, according to the charging documents. The Lincoln County Prosecutor’s Office is seeking a first-degree rape conviction against Larocca. A conviction would mean a minimum of five years in prison, with the potential for a life sentence. An arraignment was held in that case May 10.Warren County chargeBetween the date of the alleged rape and Larocca’s latest arrest, he was arrested and charged in Warren County with first-degree sexual abuse. The victim in that case told police she had been drinking and passed out in a bed at a residence on Kerland Drive in Wright City. She stated the last thing she remembered was Larocca walking into the room and removing the blanket from her.A witness who was at the residence told police Larocca molested the victim while she resisted, then uncovered his genitals and sat on top of the victim.Police said a text message conversation between the witness and Larocca showed the witness accusing him of the acts, to which he allegedly replied “Lol prove it.”Larocca also has previously been convicted of a 2009 statutory rape charge in Troy involving a 16-year-old victim, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol Sex Offender Registry.Online court records indicate a seven-year prison sentence against Larocca in that case was suspended in favor of five years of state supervised probation. He completed the probation in 2014.
