A Warren County sex offender convicted almost 20 years ago is wanted on new charges of sexual contact with young children.The county prosecuting attorney’s office has issued charges of first-degree statutory sodomy and first-degree child molestation against 54-year-old Craig J. Humphrey.Authorities allege that within the last two years, Humphrey touched the genitals of a child who was about 5 years old at the time, as well as a second child who was less than 4 years old. Both children allegedly described Humphrey touching them at his former residence on Country Life Acres Road in Warren County, where he lived between July 2015 and May 2017.Humphrey is a registered sex offender. He was convicted of statutory sodomy and sexual misconduct in 1998 in Warren County. The charges stemmed from crimes committed seven years earlier against a girl who was 12 at the time, according to records from Warren County Circuit Court and the Missouri Highway Patrol.Humphrey’s most recent address is on Reel Road just outside Warrenton.He is in custody on a $150,000, cash-only bond. He has an arraignment scheduled for Aug. 2.Craig Humphrey
