One person was seriously injured Thursday when two vehicles lost control and collided on the North Outer Road east of Warrenton.
Brianna R. Meyers, 20, of Warrenton, was a passenger in a 2003 Pontiac Grand Am that was struck in the side by a pickup truck, according to a Missouri Highway Patrol crash report. Meyers sustained serious injuries in the crash, which occurred just before 7 p.m. near Park Drive. The driver of the Pontiac, Kiley I. Kennedy, 19, of Warrenton, received minor injuries, the highway patrol said.
Meyers and Kennedy were both wearing seat belts, according to the highway patrol. They were transported to SSM Health St. Joseph Hospital in Lake St. Louis.
The highway patrol said Jacob T. Evrard, 17, of Warrenton, lost control of the 2004 Ford F150 he was driving and swerved in front of the Pontiac while traveling the opposite direction. Kennedy attempted to avoid the pickup truck and also lost control, and the pickup struck the passenger side of the Pontiac.
Evrard was not treated for any injuries, according to the highway patrol. He was wearing a seat belt.
