A Warren County man stole a vehicle and left the scene of an accident in two unrelated incidents. The suspect, identified as Charles D. Girardier, was charged for his alleged role in both crimes last week.Girardier, 59, of the 1000 block of Moon Valley Lane, Wright City, was charged with leaving the scene of an accident and first-degree tampering with a motor-vehicle accident.According to a probable cause statement, Warrenton police were dispatched to the area of Route MM and Thurman Street on Oct. 11, 2014, for a motor-vehicle accident. An officer observed a broken light pole that had been damaged from a vehicle that had struck it, believed to be the one Girardier was driving. An estimated cost for the damage was over $5,000, police reported. The following day, Girardier stole a vehicle from his employer, police said. The vehicle was located in Sunset Hills, according to police.Separate incidents lead to multiple charges
