A Wright City area teen caught with four bags of marijuana during a traffic stop told a Warren County Sheriff’s Deputy he sells the drug to make a living, according to the sheriff’s department.The deputy pulled over a vehicle for speeding on South Stringtown Road around 11:40 p.m. July 28. The driver of the vehicle gave consent for a search, during which was located a backpack that smelled of marijuana, according to the sheriff’s department.Inside the backpack was 114 grams of marijuana, a scale, a grinder and assorted small plastic bags.A passenger of the vehicle, Dean C. McDaniels, 18, allegedly claimed ownership of the bag and said he sells marijuana. McDaniels lives just outside Wright City.He now faces a charge of delivery of a controlled substance to be purchased or transported by a minor, making it a Class B felony. If he is convicted, he could be sentenced to five to 15 years in prison.Dean McDaniels
