Second Rock the Runway set for March 1

Turning Point will hold its second Rock the Runway Thursday, March 1, at Quail Ridge Lodge, 5501 Quail Ridge Parkway, in Wentzville.Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Women working at AFB International are “rocking the runway” and coordinating the event for the second year. AFB is a global leader in pet food flavors, headquartered in St. Charles.Guests will enjoy women’s fashions, vendors, raffles, Hors d’oeuvres and signature cocktails while supporting women and children who need assistance in the wake of domestic abuse or sexual violence.“This event is about women supporting and empowering other women,” said Laura Adams, board chair. “We celebrate each other for the smart, beautiful people we are and enjoy a fun evening together.”Vendors are local businesses owned or run by women. Not Jaded, LuLaRoe, Fashion Van Go and Aly’s Boutique  will provide fashions for the runway and will be available for purchase. Women of many ages, body types and backgrounds will model. Tickets are $35 per person with proceeds benefiting the clients of Turning Point.Turning Point provides emergency shelter, court advocacy and stabilizing services to survivors of domestic and sexual violence and their children.
