A second case of COVID-19 has been identified in Warren County.
County officials announced the second case Friday, March 27. Identifying information about the patients are being kept confidential.
The Warren County Health Department said both individuals are following quarantine guidelines, and that thorough investigations are being done to identify people they may have been in contact with. Those people will be monitored for symptoms, the health department said.
Health officials said people should continue following basic steps to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Those include avoiding contact with sick persons, staying 6 feet away from other people, covering coughs and sneezes with an elbow or tissue, proper hand washing, cleaning frequently touched surfaces, and staying home when sick.
As more cases become known, updated information will be posted to the Warren County Health Department’s Facebook page.
Those who suspect they may have COVID-19, or who have been in contact with a person with COVID-19, are encouraged to call their healthcare provider before seeking care.
