Classes in the Warren County R-III and Wright City school districts will dismiss at their regular times today.
However, students who live in the western half of the R-III district near Jonesburg will have to be picked up at school, Superintendent Dr. Jim Chandler said.
In addition, after-school activities in both districts have been cancelled for today. The Warrenton girls basketball team's sectional game at Francis Howell Central will played as scheduled tonight.
Schools in both districts have been on modified lockdowns throughout the day related to a search for a murder suspect believed to be on the loose in Montgomery County.
The lockdowns prohibited visitors from entering the schools, though students and teachers were allowed to move inside the buildings.
The dismissal procedure has been adjusted at Holy Rosary School in Warrenton. Parents are required to pick up their child in the activity center after school. Only one family will be released at a time. The change was requested by authorities, according to a school email.
