Warren County R-III discussing long-term plans

Public input for future construction projects is invited at a Sept. 22 work session of the Warren County R-III School Board.

With the school district paying down current debts, district leaders are preparing for the possiblity of a no-tax-increase bond issue in 2024, which would provide funding for new construction.  The school board wants to hear from community members about what type of facilities or improvements they would like to see.

The discussion is scheduled for 5 p.m. Sept. 22 at the school district central office on Veterans Memorial Parkway.

"Your feedback will help guide the district on what facility needs are needed most," the district said in a public notice. "This will be an opportunity for the community and the school board to have an open discussion on how to prepare for growth and address future facility needs."

No decisions will be made at the work session. The meeting is open for anyone to attend. However, as a courtesy, the district is asking those interested in attending to RSVP ahead of time, so that the meeting can be moved to a larger space if necessary. You can register here: Work Session RSVP
