Scenic Regional Library has begun the process to hire an architect to assist the district for its future facility expansion.The library district is seeking a Request for Qualifications (RFQs) from architectural firms with a deadline set for mid-January, according to Scenic Regional’s December newsletter. The library board will interview three finalists and expects to hire a firm in February.Library officials anticipate the design process to last through the spring and summer of 2016,Scenic Regional operates seven branches in Warren, Franklin and Gasconade counties. The lone branch in Warren County is located on South Highway 47 in Warrenton.The district has purchased land in Wright City, south of Wright City West Elementary School, for a second branch in the county.New branches will also be built in Owensville, New Haven, Pacific and Sullivan, while facilities in Warrenton and St. Clair will be expanded and renovated.In the newsletter, library officials said plans call for the seven facilities to be completed within the next three years.Scenic Regional Library
