It’s been 10 years since a female’s torso was found at a Wright City rest stop, and the mystery surrounding the case remains.The torso was found in the early morning hours on June 28, 2004, at the rest stop along Interstate 70. Her head, arms and legs were cut off and have never been found, according to past reports.No one has been able to identify the woman. Warren County Coroner Roger Mauzy believes she was killed somewhere else and then her body was dumped at the rest area.He said calls are still received about the case, but nothing has panned out to help identify the woman.“I’m hoping before I die I can send her to her family,” Mauzy said. “It’s been frustrating.”The woman is believed to be a Caucasian in her mid to late 20s and had a C-section and appendectomy scars.The woman, referred to as “Jane Doe,” is buried at an undisclosed location.
