Roy H. Jaspering, 77, of Warrenton, passed away October 25, 2021, with family by his side.  He was born December 30, 1943 to Alvin and Martha (nee: Schulze) Jaspering, at his childhood home in Foristell, MO.  Roy was a member and confirmed at Friedens United Church of Christ in Warrenton.  Roy was farming at an early age with his brother, Harry.  He was an active member in 4-H and served as the FFA president his senior year of high school.  He met his friend's younger sister and later was married on November 28, 1970 to Mary Ruth Huber.

Before kids came along, Roy continued to farm and raise cattle and hogs. He also spent a lot of time with close friends hunting deer, turkey and coyotes.  He enjoyed an occasional fishing trip with aunts, uncles and his parents.  Roy really enjoyed going to tractor pulls and pulling his Farmall 560.  He was blessed with not one, but two girls (tomboys) during harvest season, three years apart.  When the girls got older, he became a Pork Project Leader in Camp Branch 4-H Club and served on the Warren County Fair Board for several years. He was a member of the FFA Alumni, Pork Producer and Cattlemen's Association.  Roy served on the board for MFA Oil and MFA Truesdale.  During the girls' 4-H and FFA years, he enjoyed helping them and his nephew Danny Jaspering and niece Nancy Ketz show animals at the county fairs and jackpot shows.  Later in life, when grandchildren came along, he enjoyed having them ride in the combine, put out hay for the cattle and having a riding buddy to auctions.  He loved teasing the girls and taking them for rides on the gator.  Roy's passion was farming and being outside.  He was never too far from the farm and will be missed by so many.

Roy is survived by his beloved wife, Mary Ruth; daughters, Linda Jaspering and Anne Daehnke (Josh); grandchildren, Mark, Johnathan, Logan, Morgan and Faith.  He is also survived by sisters-in-law Elaine Jaspering and Melva Huber; brothers-in-law Ted Huber (Diane), Tom Huber (Gwen); aunt, Barbara Schulze; many nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.

He was preceeded in death by his parents; one brother, Harry Jaspering; brothers-in-law, Donald Huber and Joey Huber.

Visitation for Roy Jaspering will be held on Friday, November 5, 4-8 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton.  Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 6, beginning at 10 a.m., also at the funeral home.  Burial will follow at the Warrenton City Cemetery.
