MoDOT will be closing two portions of Route J, including a stretch in Warren County, where a new bridge will be built.The highway will close Monday, Aug. 17, at 8 a.m. near the Indian Camp Creek bridge and at the Coon Creek Bridge in Lincoln County. Drivers are asked to use alternate routes.The contractor, Don Schnieders Excavating Company, Inc., will be working simultaneously on these bridges. The Indian Camp Creek bridge will be replaced with a bridge that is 8 feet wider. The Coon Creek bridge will get a new deck with shoulders widened by 1 foot on each side. The total costs for the two projects is $1.14 million.“The Coon Creek bridge is expected to reopen in early October, and the other in late October,” said MoDOT Area Engineer Erik Maninga.The same contractor is currently replacing the deck of the Bear Creek bridge on Route Y in Warren County.
