Mr. Ronald Gene Rutledge, of Prices Branch, MO., passed away peacefully at his home, on Friday, November 12, 2021. He was born on July 1, 1943 in Monticello, MO., to the late Jesse and Bertha (nee: Campen) Rutledge. Ron had reached the age of 78 years.
Ron was united in marriage to Pearl Rose Potthast on March 14, 1964 in Warrenton. To this union, two children were born, Diane and Terry. Ron and Pearl celebrated 57 years together. He worked as a laborer and was a member of the Local Union 660 for fifty years. Ron's passion in life was his family. He loved them very much and enjoyed every minute spent with them. He enjoyed gardening and caring for his lawn. He also had a small wood shop where he enjoyed building bird houses and feeders. Ron cared and maintained the Prices Branch Memorial Cemetery for many years.
Ronald Rutledge was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse and Bertha Rutledge; one sister, Tammy Kaufmann. He is lovingly survived by his wife, Pearl Rutledge; his children, Diane Zhorela and husband Scott, Terry Rutledge; 7 grandchildren, Courtney Neidhardt and husband Patrick, Kelsi Zhorela, Corey Schemmer, Codey Schemmer, Brandon Whitaker, Austin Rutledge, Emily Rutledge; 5 sisters, Ruth Ann Fuller, Sue Stephens, Bonnie Krause, Erma Cromer and husband Ed, Patty Ostmann and husband Brian; several nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
A visitation for Mr. Ron Rutledge will be held on Wednesday, November 17, 2021 10:00 AM - 12:00 PM at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. The funeral service will begin at 12:00 PM also at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Prices Branch Memorial Cemetery in Prices Branch.
