Mr. Roger Duane Wielms of Warrenton passed away on Saturday, June 4, 2022, at his home, with his family at his side. He was born November 5, 1966, in Troy to the late George and Doris (nee: Connor) Wielms. Roger had reached the age of 55 years.
Roger was united in marriage to Mary McLeod on September 9, 1995, in Steelville, MO. They spent eight wonderful years together before her passing in 2003. Roger worked in the construction industry for many years. He was a family man and loved spending time with his two boys, George and Wyatt, and their children. He loved to go fishing and hunting. One of his greatest joys came from watching the boys play football. Roger was a devoted father, grandfather, brother and friend to many.
Roger Wielms was preceded in death by his loving wife, Mary; his parents, George and Doris; and one brother, Rodney Eugene Wielms. Those who will remain grateful for having shared in Roger's life are his children, George Wielms and Wyatt Wielms and wife, Taylor; three grandchildren, Liam, Beau, and Ezekiel; one brother, Brian Wielms; other relatives and many friends.
We will celebrate the life of Roger Duane Wielms on Wednesday, June 8, 2022, from 4 to 7 p.m. at Martin Funeral Home in Warrenton. Funeral services will be held the following day, Thursday, June 9, 2022, at 10 a.m. Interment at the Rattle Family Cemetery in Warrenton will follow the service. Memorial donations are suggested to the Wielms Grandchildren Education Fund, made payable to George Wielms, c/o Martin Funeral Home, 510 East Main St. Warrenton, MO. 63383.
