This final presentation will cover the year of 1865. Some questions Sutherland will address: Did the war end at Appomattox? When did the war end? And, it may be different than you think! The final event of the evening concludes with a visit by Kate Cummings, Civil War nurse (portrayed by Janet Watkins) who was instrumental in developing new methods for nursing wounded soldiers at the Battle of Corinth. Many wounded soldiers from Missouri who participated in the battle were transported by train to hospitals in St. Louis. Cummings will also relate to Civil War activity in the Warren County area. The museum is located at 102 W. Walton in Warrenton.Retired judge to present program on Civil War
