The schedule for starting resurfacing work on Highway M from Highway T to Highway 47 in Warrenton was changed to Wednesday, June 12. Work will take place weekdays from 7 a.m. to 6 p.m. until roadway crews reach the Warrenton city limts which is expected to occur about June 17-18. At that time, work will be performed at night. During working hours, one lane of traffic will remain open and drivers will be instructed to follow a pilot car which will take motorists through work zones. Once work is completed on Highway M, resurfacing will begin on the Interstate 70 south outer road from Warrenton to the St. Charles County line. That work is expected to start about Wednesday, June 19. Work near Warrenton will be performed night work as well, with daytime work continuing towards Wright City. After the south outer road is completed, operations will take place on the north outer road during the day from the St. Charles County line to Warrenton. Minor delays should be expected. Motorists may encounter rough and uneven pavement at times during construction. The road will be reopened to two lanes at the end of each work day. All roadwork is posted on the traveler information map. Those traveling and the commuting public are encouraged to check the online map at www.modot.org daily for new work zones. Drivers also are invited to rate MoDOT work zones online at modot.org. MoDOT offers e-update messages which can be sent directly to email addresses to notify people when roadwork is scheduled.
