Resurfacing work along approximately 5 miles of Highway F in Warren County began Friday, June 7, about 10 days ahead of schedule, according to officials with the Missouri Department of Transportation. The work, which will be completed by MoDOT and its contractor, Hannibal-based Chester Bross Construction, previously was scheduled to begin the week of June 17. A section of Highway F from the Interstate 70 north outer road to the end of state maintenance at Innsbrook will be resurfaced, MoDOT officials stated. The work will be done primarily Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. until 6 p.m. During working hours, one lane of traffic will be allowed by following a pilot car to take motorists through the work zone. Minor delays should be expected. Motorists may encounter rough and uneven pavement at times during construction. The road will be opened to two lanes at the end of each work day. Other roads scheduled to be resurfaced include: Highway M from Highway 47 in Warrenton to Route T; The I-70 south outer road from just east of Highway 47 in Warrenton to the St. Charles County line; and The I-70 north outer road from Highway 47 in Warrenton to the St. Charles County line. All roadwork is posted on MoDOT's Traveler Information Map. Those traveling and the commuting public are encouraged to check the online map at www.modot.org daily for new work zones. Motorists also are asked to rate MoDOT work zones online at modot.org. MoDOT also offers e-update messages sent directly to your email when roadwork is scheduled.
