A Spark of Hope Gala for Giving 2018 for Agape is Saturday, Oct. 20, 6-11 p.m. at the Aspen Center in Innsbrook.Agape Executive Director Michelle R. Bernth said Gala for Giving is a fun event, held in a beautiful setting, where people get to support an important cause.Proceeds will help Agape continue its mission to provide services to people in need.“The Gala for Giving is our largest, single-day fundraising event,” said Bernth. “This event is incredibly important to us and we are so pleased to have such great support from the community for it.”About 200 people usually attend the Gala for Giving.“Money raised at the Gala for Giving goes to support the programs and services that Agape offers throughout the year,” said Bernth.According to Agape, 23 percent of Warren County’s residents are food insecure and 50 percent of Agape’s clients are children.Agape offers programs and services from infant kits and school and work supplies to emergency shelter and financial aid and a food pantry. The food pantry serves over 1,200 Warren County residents each month.Donations help the organization provide these services.While Gala sponsorship opportunities are still available, many have already signed on. They are: Biermann Eye Health, Blastco, Inc., Carmen Schulz, CertainTeed, Continental Pump, Eagle Activewear, First State Community Bank, Kertz Tree Service, The Missouri Bank, Schraer Heating and Cooling and Westbound Real Estate.“We are so incredibly grateful to the companies who are sponsors at this event. Their sponsorship of the Gala for Giving shows their commitment to helping the Warren County community,” said Bernth.Cocktail hour begins at 6 p.m. Dinner and a presentation begin at 7:30 p.m. Tickets are $100 per person and a Silver Sponsorship is $1,500, which includes a table of 10.All reservations include premium open bar, seated dinner, auction, activities and dancing. Butch Wax and the Hollywoods will perform.The event is cocktail attire.Space is available but limited.
