Registration for the Running for a Hug, Pass it on! 5K run and walk is open.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 13, at 8 a.m. at the Black Hawk Middle School Fieldhouse.
Registration is $20 if postmarked before Feb. 2, and $25 after, and includes a T-shirt.
The registration deadline for shirts is Feb. 2.
All proceeds will go to Operation Backpack, and event organizers encourage participants to bring a jar of peanut butter or box of crackers to help fill the Operation Backpack shelves.
Participants will be grouped into one of seven age groups.
Packet pickup is Feb. 13 from 6:30-7:30 a.m.
