March 7 is the deadline for residents of Warren County to register to vote in municipal elections April 3.Residents who are not registered to vote can register at the Warren County Clerk’s office in the county administration building, 101 Mockingbird Lane, Warrenton. The office is open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.County Clerk Barb Daly is also reminding voters that they will be asked to show photo ID before they vote. Photo ID requirements for Missouri elections went into effect in June 2017.There are three ways to meet the photo ID requirement:• Show a government-issued photo ID, which could be a driver license, nondriver license, passport or military ID.• Sign a provided statement and show one of the following: voter registration card, ID from a Missouri college or vocational school, utility bill or bank statement, government check, paycheck, or another government document showing your name and address.• Vote with a provisional ballot, and then either provide a signature that matches your signature in the voter registry, or return to the polling place with a photo ID.Registered voters who have changed their addresses must also update their registrations.Information on voter registration can be obtained by calling the county clerk’s office at 636-456-3331.Anyone who wants a photo ID to vote and doesn’t have one, the Missouri Secretary of State’s office will help them obtain one nondriver license for free.
