The Warren County Record is seeking stories of local active duty soldiers and veterans, living or deceased, for a special supplement that will run in November. The newspaper is partnering with Heggemann Plumbing, The Missouri Bank, Martin Funeral Home and H & H Guns to recognize local heroes in a special edition close to Veterans Day.“We are asking the public to submit a story of a veteran, active military person or reservist, who inspired them,” said Whitney Livengood of Missourian Media Group, The Record’s parent company.A committee will select several stories to be featured in the printed supplement, and all the submissions will be featured online at warrencountyrecord.com/hero.“Nothing can compare to the stories we hear about those serving our Armed Services,” Livengood said. “Whether they have been passed down through the generations, told to us by one of our elders or a present-day story, rarely do we experience such messages of courage and resilience.”To share a story, visit warrencountyrecord.com/hero, or mail stories to The Record, Attention: Jana Todd, 103 E.
