Jana Todd, advertising manager for The Record, has been recognized with First State Community Bank’s first ever Unsung Hero award.
“As part of FSCB’s Community Appreciation Month, we have decided to honor individuals in our community who do great deeds or provide great service, but are not always publicly recognized,” said Warrenton FSCB President Peggy Rodgers.
Todd has been active in the Warrenton community for four decades, first as the owner of Kathryn’s Gift Shop, then as a professional photographer and in her role at The Record.
“I’m honored that FSCB would think of me for an award,” Todd said. “The bank is an innovative part of our community. They are continuously trying new programs, like the Kickstart Program which gives money to nonprofits. Peggy Rodgers and her team are a valuable asset to the community.”
Todd also is actively involved in Relay For Life and the Warrenton Area Chamber of Commerce, and is joining the Warren County Historical Society Board in 2018.
“She attends and participates in almost every community event I can think of,” said Rodgers. “In her official role as advertising manager, she provides quality advertising to our businesses and is instrumental in maintaining a high-quality newspaper in our community.”
Over the years, Todd has earned many professional awards and is a past president of the Missouri Advertising Managers Association.
“It is our privilege to honor Jana (Todd) for her outstanding contribution to our community,” Rodgers said. “As a token of our appreciation for her efforts in the community, the bank will contribute $200 to the nonprofit organization of her choice.”
Todd has chosen to contribute the donation to the Warrenton Downtown Association, an organization that supports downtown businesses.
